Big Mum

This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep

I miss you dearly but every day I pray for to

God grant me the Serenity to
Accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things
I can, and the Wisdom to know
the difference.

Big Mom lived her life for love of friends and family,
Her days became a sunlit homily,
With others' joy her joy and main concern.
When we were ill, she also became sick;
When we were cut, she, too, began to bleed.
Of our oil lamp she was the wick,
Drawing her bright flame from our need.
Some say that such behavior's out of date:
That self-fulfillment is the way to grace.
But Big Mom, without much choice, then chose her fate,
Finding greater truth in an embrace.
She lives on in the sparkle in our eyes:
Laughing, quiet, gentle, loving, wise.

Big Mommy, how can we thank you for the blessing that you have always been to my mother, my siblings and I?  In Nov. 1971 when my father died, mom was had five children age ranging between one and eight You stepped in without question and did your utmost to make things easy for us. You were always there for us. You loyalty, faithfulness and selflessness is beyond measure. You showed love in words, thoughts and actions. You are indeed a precious gem. I know that you are asleep for a while and that we shall see you on that glorious day. Sleep in the bosom of our Lord sweet mother.

"Many women do noble things, but you supass them all." Charm and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

Sister, mama Toyin, aunty, on  11/08/1971 my heart was broken, you opened your arms and held us, your heart was always overflowing with unconditional love. You gave and did not count the cost. In a gentle reassuring voice you repeated "God will make everything alright"

We love you, we will miss you and our memory of you will never die. God has made everything alright for you.

Sleep on, be at peace and take your rest.

     Your one and only Cecilia.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as we weep and mourn the passing of our loved one.

We must take comfort in celebrating her wonderful and noble life. Reflecting on all her good deeds and the numerous lives she touched in so many, many ways.

Finally, remember what Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believe in me will never die." United with one vioce we say Amen, yes Lord we believe.
